Gene has been slowly improving - praise God! There's more improvement for which we pray. He is breathing on his own, although still connected to a ventilator. The plan is to remove the ventilator this afternoon. His kidney function is improving. He may start some treatments for leukemia today as well. Jan hopes to have a video call with him later today. Pray for Gene's health and comfort, for his doctors and nurses, for Jan's peace and patience at home. Pray that God would be an ever-present help in trouble.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
