Prayer Request update

 

Here is an update to the prayer request sent out earlier:

1.       Sandy is still improving and it is likely she will be released to go home today.  The infectious doctor saw her last night and this morning and cleared her form her perspective.  Sandy is still waiting for word from her doctor as to her discharge date.

2.       Dee Comphel passed away yesterday afternoon at San Leandro Kaiser. We would like to keep her family (daughters, husband, and grandkids) in prayer as they go through the difficult loss of a loved one.

First I wanted to give an update on my sister Sandy: she is much improved over last week.  They started her on steroids late on Monday and she is responding well to them.  She is no longer short of breath and her temperature was normal all day.  She is still receiving antibiotics but they are not finding any signs of infection.  They are still awaiting results of some tests, but if everything comes back OK, she is likely to be released on Thursday.  We are thankful that all is progressing as it is and pray for continued healing.

 

Second:  We would like to add Delight Comphel a former member, the mother of Yvonne Stein, another former member.  Delight has been suffering with dementia and she was just taken to Kaiser in San Leandro with heart & kidney failure.  Please pray that all works out as her dementia has been very hard on her family.

Please pray a prayer of praise and thanksgiving for prayer quilt recipient Ronnie Sparks.  At 3 month check up he is cancer free.

Please keep Ed, brother of Linda Duvall in your prayers. He came through the first surgery successfully but now faces two valve replacements. Pray for strength and comfort and healing.

I would like prayers for my brother Andy who is in the hospital in very serious condition with pneumonia and a septic infection. He is on a ventilator and being sedated.

 Barbara Arionus's  daughter, Denice, has a 44 year old son named Louis Steven Eck, who just had a stroke, brain bleed  and heart attack last Friday.  He's in hospital near Concord,  paralyzed down his left side, but is holding his own.  He has a long rehab before him. 

Denice brought him a prayer quilt from her church this week; and she would greatly appreciate prayers of healing for him,  and prayers of comfort and support for the entire family.  

I got to know Denice and their family several years ago,  when I prepared weekly meals for Barbara and her husband during Barbara's illness. Lovely people.

Lucas Woodford, Minnesota South District President

The staff at the Minnesota South District office is requesting your prayers on behalf of President Lucas Woodford. He suffered an injury to his left arm while working on a remodeling project at his home last Friday. While it is a bad injury, it is non-life threatening.
