He is alert and taking nourishment. He is heading in shortly for an MRI try to determine the source of a non-localized infection and any possible bone issues from his fall.

  God's Power is Great! Bud Overbay and his family give thanks at this time for all the wonderful and powerful prayers that are being answered for Bud. In the last 24 hours there has been much improvement. He has been able to sit in the chair and the feeding tube has been removed. He is also regaining the use of his legs and arms with some assistance. They are waiting on him to be able to undergo and MRI to determine the extent of any damage and how to move forward and continue his treatment. Please continue to pray for comfort for Bud as he is continuing to have pain in the upper body and weakness in his limbs. Pray the they are able to determine the cause of his pain with the MRI and how best to proceed. |

  Prayers have been requested for Paul Pettit Paul is a co-worker of Jason Goldhammer and he was involved in a accident on his Quad where he injured both of his legs requiring surgery. Please keep Kevin Dorr in your prayers Kevin Dorr (Mary Dorr's son) fell this morning and was taken to the E.R. at Kaiser in San Leandro. At this time he is awaiting a CT scan to determine if he has a head injury due to his fall. He is being held at the hospital at this time for observation and further testing and will possible be moved to the ICU later today. Thank the Lord that he is in the hands of the doctors and staff who are in charge of his care, pray for their knowledge of his injuries and how to properly go forward with treatment. |

  Please pray at this time for Bud Overbay His daughter Rebecca Esparza (a former member of Calvary Lutheran) has informed us that Bud fell in his home the other night and was taken to John Muir E.R. where he was admittedfor a fracture of his C4 vertebrae.At this time they are waiting for him to be able to have an MRI to determine what else may have happened in the fall. He has limited use of his legs and continues to be confused, disoriented and uncomfortable. Please pray for Bud and his family for peace and comfort during this time while they await further testing, and for the doctors and staff that are caring for him that the have the knowledge and guidance of how best he should be treated. Please continue to pray for our uncle George Schurz. His white blood cell count is again rising. He does have congestive heart failure but the fluid build-up in his body is not typical for that condition. Please pray that the doctors can determine what all is going wrong with him and that they can develop a [plan that will allow him to return home.
