Celebration of the Life Ester Garguilo

Please join us here at Calvary Lutheran church on Friday, February 13, 2015 as we Celebrate the Life of Esther Garguilo, mother of Jan Kreger. 1:00 pm service with celebration to continue in the Parish Hall for lunch.   We are asking at this time for food to be brought to share,preferably salads and casseroles. If you are able to bring a dish that needs to be kept warm we would like you to bring it hot and we will do our best to keep it warmed for serving. Please contact Karla in the office to let her know what you will be bringing so that we can best prepare.

Prayers for John Ohanesian

My husband, John Ohanesian, has been under observation at Eden since last Thursday.  Please pray for him to be less combative in his Alzheimer's condition.  Also, pray they can find a closer permanent place for him as now they have only found a place in Sacramento.  Thank you for your continuing prayers for him.  Love in Jesus, Audrey Ohanesian

Dear Friends in Christ,   We have received word that Rick passed away yesterday, 12/31/14, unexpectedly.  His long battle with Congestive Heart Failure is believed to be the cause.   Despite his on-going battle with illness, Rick had an enthusiasm for life.  His eye for beauty for what he saw through a camera lenses was inspiring.   Please keep Kyra and the entire family in your prayers.   We will send more information when it becomes available.

Prayers for those in the Phillipines

Please pray for Friends of the Schultz family that live in Bohol, Phillipines. Due to the recent horrific weather causing damage and devastation across the islands, they are searching for a family member that they have not been able to get in contact with. Please pray for them to be reunited soon and that they are all safe. Also pray for the economy there, as this storm has brought a lot of damage to the area and it will take time for them to recover and rebuild.
