E-Prayers for Virginia

E-Prayer
hands touching Dear Friend,

Hi again.  My family and I just spent a few hours visiting Mom (Virginia). She is now two days post-surgery and doing well. She looks good and doesn't seem to have too much pain. She still has a nerve block that infuses local anesthetic, so I don't know if her pain level will increase when they remove it. She has been up walking with the physical therapists and the plan is to transfer to a rehab facility tomorrow mid-day. She is her usual cheerful self and her granddaughters helped polish off her extra Saltine crackers and grapes (though her appetite is back to normal already).

The facility she will be moving to is Washington Care and Rehab, 14766 Washington Ave, San Leandro, CA 94578. Phone # 510-352-2211
She will probably be there for about 5-7 days, but could stay longer if needed. One of the primary goals in the rehab is to make sure patients are at a low risk for falls when they leave.

Dad (Bill) is surviving, too, though he did confess that he just had ice cream for dinner last night (which should not surprise any of us).

They both send their love and appreciation for the thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Mary
