Payer of Thanksgiving

Thanks that Sandy (Silva) was able to come home yesterday evening.

Thanks that my brother Jonathan's kidney surgery was successful and is healing fine and prayers that the radiation treatments he starts on the 17^th will handle the cancer near his spine.

Please pray for Pastor George Rakos, retired in Anchorage; however, still serving as Circuit Pastor in Homer, Alaska.

Last Tuesday on a flight back from Mexico he had difficulty breathing.  He was put on oxygen and the EMT's took him from the plane to the hospital.  He spent the night in the hospital taking many tests.  Pray the doctors will be able to diagnose why this is happening.

Prayer of Thanks

 

Thank you all for your prayers and for my prayer quilt, God is faithful and answered all those prayers. The surgery to remove my kidney was successful, the cancer was all contained in the kidney and was totally removed so I will not require any additional treatment. I continue to recover and feel better each day.

Please pray for Isabel Albright and the Manrique family as Isabel moves into a new stage of liver failure and feeling very ill. At 102 years, invasive procedures are not practicable. She remains upbeat, waiting for the Lord.Thank you.

Please pray for Sandy Silva as she developed a fever on Thursday and she went to ER on Friday and was admitted.  They can't seem to find out what is causing the fever.  All her blood work is coming back normal, but the antibiotics don't seem to be helping.

Please pray for family friend Georgia Cornely.  She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Doctors hope to shrink the tumor with steroids and then do surgery.

 

Please prayer for peace and comfort for her and her family and guidance for the doctors.

Prayers for the Mark Krueger Family of Ft. Wayne, IN.  Mark, the brother of Norma Blank, died unexpectedly Monday of a possible heart attack.  Mark was 64 years old and leaves behind his wife Peggy, five children, and 3 grandchildren.  Pray for the peace of Christ for Mark's family, his sisters' families and all his many friends with the reassurance of the resurrection that we all have as believers.

Please pray for God's healing hand to be on Sandie Elliott who is back at Eden Hospital in isolation. 
Her infection has flared up again.  At this time she does not know when she will be able to come home.

She is requesting no calls until she is able to be home.

I would like to update the prayer request for my brother Jonathan Ellis (not our son), he received partial results from his PET scan from Monday.  In addition to the tumor on his kidney, it has spread to lymph nodes near his kidney, along with a spot near his L3 vertebrae.  He still has to talk to the doctor about what the next steps will be.  Please pray for wisdom for the doctors to put together a plan for successful treatment.

Thank you so much for your prayers, cards and phone calls following my knee replacement surgery. The surgery was a success and I am healing very well.  I'm walking with a cane and expect to give that up in the next week.  We worship an amazing God, who hears and answers our prayers.  I use my prayer quilt everyday and I am reminded and thankful for your love and prayers as I cover up with it.

Please pray for our granddaughter, Katelyn Goldhammer. They thought she had a hairline fracture of her arm from falling out of bed Sunday night. Today it is obvious that she has a broken collarbone. Pray that the orthopedist would be able to treat her today. Pray for wisdom for the doctor and for healing for Katelyn.

Update on Linda Wong-Farenbaugh on the cancer warrior list in the bulletin. Thought I'd furnish an update and ask for continued prayers for her comfort a little while longer.   Linda is terminal now, in hospice care with IV feeding and hydration; 24 hour in-home care.   She has a morphine pump and is being kept comfortable and pain-free. It is just a matter of weeks now before she will go home to the Lord and she is looking toward that day with peace in her heart.   She has a strong faith in the Lord as does her husband and her family. She still naps with her prayer quilt and speaks fondly of her VBS time with us.   Thank you everyone for your prayers  Toni Troya Huth   ALSO  Please pray for Harv Goldhammer, he has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg. Prayer Request for Sandy

Please Pray For: Sandy Silva She went into ER yesterday with difficulty breathing and an erratic  and high heart rate.  The doctors found fluid surrounding her heart and are looking into how to proceed further.  They may have to insert a tube to drain the fluid or they may try to use drugs to see if the fluid decreases.  She is on antibiotics.  Additionally, she has atrial fibrillation and they may shock the heart to see if it goes back to normal rhythm.  There is a possibility she may be transferred to Merritt in Oakland.  The cardiologist is supposed to come around this morning before noon and give an update ro plan for what they are going to do.   Pray that the doctors would be able to find out what is wrong and treat her for it.    Thank you,   Steven

		Praise and Thanksgiving for Maria Mitchell's successful hip replacement surgery. The surgery was done at Kaiser this morning.  At 9:30 a.m. she was up and walking around and is now home.  Maria feels good and does not have much pain. To God be all glory!
