  Please keep Pastor Stephen Oliver in your prayers as he makes a bold presentation of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in Singapore. From Pastor Oliver: we need your prayer for a presentation next week in Singapore that I've been preparing for a number of weeks regarding how Luther and the Reformation can help us understand human sexuality. I seek to present a God-pleasing response from His Word in light of two extremes: the tidal wave of the homosexual movement extending its influence into every corner of society and the murderous homophobic reaction, both of which break God's commandments and are not with Jesus in extending His hand of Grace to save sinners from their sin (Luke 15:2, John 8:11, Luke 19:10). My wife and I both sense spiritual attack because of this (a lot of things recently). |

  Joan is doing much better and will be going to a rehab facility near her son in Nebraska today. She will be there for 2-3 weeks as she regains her strength and continues to improve. | Prayers of praise and thanksgiving for Gods hand in my sisters Glo's surgery and recovery! Glo has been released from the hospital! The surgery was a huge success! Please continue to pray for healing as she has a very large incision which was not completely closed during the surgery. The wound has to be packed three times a day and is about 14 inches long so pain control is difficult as well...prayers for pain relief and protection from infection are greatly appreciated!Thanks to all for your prayers, they are needed and appreciated!... Her heart has stopped numerous times and the next 48 hours are critical. Joan is a former teacher at Calvary and served as a replacement music teacher last year.
