I would like to request a prayer for a fellow teacher and friend, Christina Horton Oka.  Christina's husband, Jason, passed away suddenly yesterday while Christina and their two children were on their first day back at school!  I just received the news and it has shaken me even though it's been years since Christina taught at Zion.  I've been in contact with her through Facebook and she still visits Zion when she travels to California.  She taught my three daughters when they were in the 5th grade. HI We are requesting prayers for Ernest Silva (grandfather of Jackson (kindergartner) and pervious Calvary graduates John and Jacob). Ernest became ill last week and is not showing signs of recovery. Losing his wife of 64 years in 2009 and losing his eye sight over the last six years has been a daily challenge for him. We believe he is giving up and is tired at age 90. In order to help him be conformable, Ernest entered hospice Sunday. Prayers of peace, healing, and God's will.   Thank you,   Wilkins Family

Prayers for Shelia                                                                                                                           Please pray for my cousin Shelia (you have prayed for her before and she has received a prayer quilt and still keeps it close). Her lung cancer has returned and she is not receiving this chemo treatment very well. She has had infections and loss of appetite and weight.  Pray that she will be strong enough for her body to accept the next chemo treatment. Pray that she finds comfort and peace knowing of the prayers of other Christians.  Thank you for you faithfulness.  Love in Jesus, Audrey Ohanesian

Prayers for Larry Adams                                                                                                                           Thank you all so much for your prayers regarding Larry during his recent diagnosis of bladder cancer.  The result of his CT scan was that the cancer had not spread into the outer areas of the bladder and his last biopsy showed that the doctor had eliminated all of the cancer cells by the removal of the tumor.  This is definitely a miracle and  "a thank you Jesus" time.   We are asking for continued prayer as he will be going through a procedure that injects a bacteria into his bladder once a week for 6 weeks.  This bacteria is suppose to help the body to reject any foreign materials in this area.  Thank you Heavenly Father and for our freedom to pray.

Prayers for Larry Adams                                                                                                                           Thank  you for your prayers for Larry's removal of the tumor that was cancerous. A CT scan was done  and it was found that the cancer had not spread to any other area around the bladder which is a "praise the Lord", however, the Dr. wants to do a biopsy of where the cancer was attached to make absolutely sure that all of the cancer was removed.  Larry will be admitted to the hospital to have this done tomorrow, 5 Aug. at 9:30am.  Please pray for a confirmation of the previous positive analysis so that he can proceed with further treatment.  Thank you for your prayers.  Blessings,
