Candy for Calvary youth

The Sr. High Youth has only rec'd one donation of candy for their Halloween Party.  If you are able to donate a bag of candy to Calvary Sr. High Youth ("The Experience") please drop off at office today or bring to church on Sunday.

Praise

Prayers of praise; Susan Hoffman's surgery went well. They were able to remove the tumor and it was benign.

Healing

Prayers of healing for Cheryl Benz who was just in an auto accident.  The car was totaled and Cheryl has some minor injuries.

Also, for Steve Comfort (Bette Benz' son-in-law) he will be having exploratory surgery tomorrow. 

Delicate Surgery

Please pray for comfort and calmness, for Susan Hoffman as she undergoes surgery to remove a tumor from her brain.  Give the doctors guidance and knowledge as they perform this surgery on Wednesday.  Pray to keep Susan in Jesus's loving hands with  successful results and return her to good health.

Thanksgiving

Prayers of praise and thanksgiving for Jan & Gene Curler's neighbor's son, Adam who returned safely home from Afghanistan and had the privilege of carrying the American Flag at the opening world series game! 

Give Thanks!

A prayer of praise and thanksgiving for my cousin Shelia's partial lung removal surgery a week ago this last Monday.  The surgery went very, very well.  She went home on Monday and did not have to have oxygen.  I spoke to her on the phone and she was not even short of breath and says she feels wonderful.  They were all amazed at her quick recovery.  Continue to pray for her recovery and the results of the pathology which she won't have until November 1.  THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS. Update on Marlene Mueller... She went home last Saturday and is receiving in home therapy twice a week to help strengthen her.  She is recovering well and is very thankful for all of your prayers, cards and visits.

Brian Pye's surgery went well and he is resting at home, chomping at the bit.  Stay in bed Brian!!  Prayers for a quick and full recovery.

More Testing

Prayers of calmness to surround Linda Dutton as she returns for more testing due to a questionable mammogram.  Pray for her to be filled with God's peace as she awaits results.

Broken leg!

Prayers of healing and for a successful surgery for Brian Pye.  He broke his fibula and will have surgery on Thursday morning.

Healing

Prayers for complete healing and successful treatments for Leanne Mueller's mother, Joyce Schwartz.  She was recently diagnosed with recurring cancer.  Spots were found on her lung and breast.  Doctor says the cancer is a regressive type and they will be able to stop progression with oral drugs.

She is taking her prayer quilt to the hospital and will keep it with her while she is there.

Testing

My mother, Esther Garguilo, was admitted to Eden Hospital yesterday.  So far the doctors found she has a urinary infection, which can cause her confused state and speech problems.  They will do more testing including an MRI of her brain.  I will keep you updated as we know more.  Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for Esther Garguilo, she was just taken to Eden Hospital for a possible stroke.

Surgery

Thank you for  your answered prayers for my cousin Shelia.  Her lung cancer is Stage 1 and the lymph nodes are not affected so they will be able to remove one-half of her lung.  She will be having that surgery on Monday morning (3 1/2 - 4 hours) so please continue to pray for her and the medical staff that all will go well.  Also, pray for her to be surrounded by His healing arms and His peace and strength now and through recovery.
